Mainnet is close. Here is where things stand on the final stretch: what we have shipped, what is coming, and how to be ready.

Where we started

Canopy exists to do one thing well. Let anyone launch a sovereign app they actually own, without assembling infrastructure first. Think Replit for Web3. Describe what you want, ship it, own it. AI writes the app. Canopy makes you the owner of what it runs on.

What testnet proved

Builders have spent months launching real apps on Canopy testnet without touching infrastructure once. Outside teams showed up and shipped working products, not demos: liquid staking, lending and onchain games. Several came from people with no engineering background, building with AI.

The clearest signal came from Block Rocket, our build competition. Round one drew 2,632 participants. Round two drew 4,515, up 72 percent, with no change to the entry requirements. Demand for a place to ship is not the constraint. Setup was, and that is the part we removed.

What we shipped to make mainnet real

  • Deployment in minutes. Stand up a Canopy node with monitoring already wired in, no stack to assemble.
  • A wallet and block explorer on every node, so builders are not bolting on third party tooling to see their own app.
  • Security from block zero. A new app inherits the network's security instead of bootstrapping its own.
  • A faster indexer and Canopy hosted snapshots, so syncing a node is a coffee break rather than a weekend.

Each of these is the difference between a testnet experiment and something you can run a business on. We wrote up what shipped for node operators here.

What mainnet changes

Testnet was practice. Mainnet is ownership. The app you launch becomes yours, with real economics, real users, and the option to help secure the network. Teams building today move from coming soon to live.

How to be ready

  • If you earned reward points on testnet, submit them. The claim portal is open now, and submitting is how you get considered. Here is how it works.
  • Builders: start on testnet now so you can graduate on day one.
  • Node operators: get familiar with the deployment stack, so day one is a launch and not a setup exercise. The node runner quickstart is the fastest way in.
  • Everyone else: watch this space. Launch details are coming, and we will track every step here.

More soon.
