What happened over the last few months was unexpected, exciting, and incredibly significant.

The closing of 2025 means a celebration of a monumental year of achievements, and a remarkably impactful finish. The Canopy vision promises a new wave of building, launching, and scaling—and the timing of the new year invites a landscape that's ready for change.

In 2026, we’re taking advantage of the gap we’ve seen in blockchain tech.

And yes, we intend to shake up the space.

Let’s look at what Canopy achieved in Q4, and why it’s paving our path even quicker than we could have hoped.

Explosive Community Growth for Canopy

At the end of November, we launched a growth campaign in collaboration with CodeCraft Group. The goals of this campaign were to spread the word about Canopy to the wider web3 community, and draw in the kinds of developers we want to see innovating in the space. The growth we’ve already seen in such a short period of time has truly astonished us.

After just 40 days, here’s how our community has grown:

The amount of new participants has truly blown us away. We are especially excited about the developer waitlist, where real Github-backed developers can pitch their ideas for consideration to build on Canopy. The app ideas are truly exciting to see—pulling back the curtain on the number of innovative minds ready to explore what’s possible with Canopy’s day-one launch and distribution. We’re creating an environment where ideas can thrive in totality, and we take the muscle out of the process. But you’ll see more of that soon enough.

Our Discord has seen a complete overhaul to invite in new members, including revamped roles, streamlined channel systems, contests and engagement opportunities, and Matrica verification and other rewards integrations for top-tier members. The Canopy team held its first Community Call in Discord, with Co-Founders Adam Liposky and Andrew Nguyen holding their first Canopy AMA in the latter half.

Canopy Questing and Rewards Campaign

With many new eyes on Canopy, we wanted to create a series of activities to drive community participation, and identify the members and developers with strong interest in creating with Canopy and supporting its success. To do this, we launched the Canopy Rewards Program, with a series of quests and activities ranging from social media posting, to community engagement, developer tasks, and collaboration opportunities. So far, we have more than 120,000 users who are participating in the Canopy Rewards Program, and we couldn’t be more excited to see so much energy and activity there. We also opened up our Mindshare leaderboard, which ranks top members with real influence and meaningful community engagement in the space.

Early 2026, Canopy will be launching on-chain questing, which will give users first access to the tech, and a preview of building on Canopy.

Rounding Out Betanet

Canopy’s Betanet period has served as a successful trial run for stress-testing technical features and network capabilities, with 20 enterprise-grade infrastructure providers joining the cohort, along with multiple projects building on Canopy in our incubator program. But what’s been proven in this last quarter of Betanet, and what’s left to do for Canopy to move on to the next stage?

Canopy recently accomplished a new milestone in its quality testing. We tested Canopy’s scale in launching 100 chains simultaneously, proving Canopy’s capability of handling large numbers of applications operating in tandem, while maintaining total system stability. We have also implemented 14 upgrades without issue, further identifying potential bugs and fortifying Canopy’s robust usability.

One of our final goals of Betanet is to stress-test Canopy’s capability with 1,000 validators (in a node-distributed network) operating simultaneously on Canopy. This will be a notable milestone for testing Canopy’s peer-to-peer networking and consensus functioning under a heavy load. With these tests successfully completed, Canopy will be greenlit for mainnet from the tech team.

Thought Leadership Highlights

In addition to our internal growth efforts and community expansion initiatives, Canopy was covered in a number of web3 media outlets and publications in Q4.

Both Adam and Andrew began accepting podcast requests to speak about various aspects of Canopy, and were each featured on different shows before the end of the year. Adam was featured on the BlockHash Podcast, and spoke about his path leading up to Canopy, and what problems Canopy solves in the wider crypto landscape. Andrew was featured on the Brave New Coin Podcast podcast, where he broke down the top technical aspects of Canopy, and the most compelling features to look out for.

There have also been a series of written features, including Adam’s interview with Cryptopolitan, and pieces by Invezz, Coinpedia, Cointrust, Cryptonomist, Analytics Insight, Live Bitcoin News, and The News Crypto

Full Steam Ahead for 2026

Q4 was a whirlwind of motion and activity, and provided some much needed validation that Canopy’s promise is as meaningful as we’ve been hoping. Dipping our toes into widespread reach has only fueled our fire, and we’re not stopping anytime soon.

Our takeaway? Get in quick—the train has taken off, and there’s only so much room on this ride.

Thank you for being here. We’re more motivated than ever to deliver something industry-shifting, cutting edge, and absolutely worth the hype. This new year feels bright already.

We’re ready if you are.
